Before you get the word out, let\u2019s run through a few easy steps and you will be all set to start earning money from subscriptions. We empower creators to be independent, so your community is in your hands. Your admin panel gives you the tools to update your settings at any time.<\/p>\r\n

Description and About Section<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

Your community description is the text that will be shown to people who look up your community on Locals Discover. In one or two sentences, what is your community about?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Members within your community can read more about you, your community, and the guidelines. You can see how it looks by toggling, View as member > About {Community Name}.<\/p>\r\n

Set your price<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

People can join your community either as a free member or paying supporter. Members can see and like all free posts, but cannot post and comment. Supporters have access to all content and the ability to post content and comment. It\u2019s up to you to decide how much you want to charge. Most creators charge $5 for standard support. The premium option gives supporters the ability to direct message you. You can either disable it, keep it free for all supporters or set a premium price, e.g. $10.<\/p>\r\n

Review your categories<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

When members create an account, they select their interests. Those feed into the initial suggestions for creators to follow. Pick the 3 tags that will be best for new members to discover your community.<\/p>\r\n

Pick your keywords<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

In addition to your community name and categories, you can add other keywords for members to find your community. If your first and last name are not part of your nickname, we recommend adding them as keywords.<\/p>\r\n

Connect your Stripe<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

Connecting your Stripe account allows you to start collecting money directly from your supporters. If you already have a Stripe account, connect it and you\u2019re good to go.
